This course was developed at Harvard Medical School to teach 4 core urology topics to medical students:
   (1) benign prostatic hyperplasia
   (2) erectile dysfunction
   (3) prostate cancer
   (4) screening with prostate-specific antigen (PSA)

In five randomized trials to date, this spaced education course has been found to improve students' learning and retention of core urology concepts. Importantly, the course is also well-accepted by busy students on their clinical clerkships.  In 2009, the course was incorporated as a resource in the American Urological Association's National Medical Student Core Curriculum.

The concept behind this course and the learning objectives are excellent. Unfortunately, 26 questions is not enough to sufficiently reach learning goals. Also, many of the questions have answers that are overwhelmingly obvious due to their “silliness” and a good handful have reasonable alternative answers that are not sufficiently differentiated from the correct answer.
